Mission & Vision

Our Mission and Vision

Here at Life Church, we value the importance of setting a clear mission and vision. Simply stated, a mission is the “what” we are called to do, while the vision is the “how” we can do it. Every aspect of our mission and vision is taken directly from Scripture and you can read more about them below. Our desire is that every member will not only know our mission and vision but that it will be the very DNA of how we operate as a church.

We believe that when you embrace these values—growing in faith, loving others deeply, and reaching out with the message of Christ—you become a vital part of what God is doing in and through Life Church. Together, we are building a community that reflects His love and truth to the world.

What

Grow

Personal growth in our relationship with God and growth as a community of believers, supporting one another in our walk with Christ.

Acts 2:47 reminds us that growth is a natural and essential part of our
spiritual journey.

Love

Love is more than an emotion—it is a powerful, active choice. We are commanded to love God with all our hearts and to love others as ourselves.

Luke 10:27 calls us to embody this radical love in every area of our lives.

Reach

The church is called not to be inward-focused, but outward-reaching. We are called to reach our neighbors and extend the gospel to the nations.

Acts 1:8 challenges us to be a light to the world, starting right where we are and going to the ends of the earth.

How: Our Membership Covenant

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord and, on the profession of our faith, having been baptized as believers in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant to live life together as one body in Christ.

As Members of Life Church at Ardsley Park we will strive, by God’s grace, to live life together according to the following biblical principles:

  • Consistent participation in corporate worship (Hebrews 10:24–25) and giving in a manner reflective of the generosity shown to us in the Gospel (2 Corinthians 9:6–7).

  • Ongoing relationships with other covenant Members for the purpose of discipleship and mutual growth (Colossians 3:16).

  • A willingness to pursue opportunities to serve in and through Life Church at Ardsley Park (1 Peter 4:10–11).

  • The development and practice of personal time with God (John 15:4).

  • Active participation in and support of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20).

This covenant is a promise to watch over one another in love according to all that the Bible commands; to pray for one another in all circumstances while coming to one another’s aid in sin and distress; to submit to the biblical leadership of the Church and to support the Church’s leaders in prayer; to preserve unity by being slow to take offense and always willing to forgive and reconcile, following the example and teachings of Christ our Lord.
